Medical insurance is provided free of charge through Southern Cross Heath. Discounted rates are also available to family members.

All permanent Tuatahi employees are covered with Life Insurance to the value of two times their base salary.

All staff (and their immediate family members) are entitled to 24-hour access to a dedicated staff support person; this includes couple counselling and budgeting services.

To support employees through parenthood, eligible employees receive Government Paid Parental Leave topped up to 100% of their base salary for up to 26 weeks, along with a supported transition back to work, including the option to return on 80% of normal hours while receiving 100% pay for up to three months following primary or extended parental leave. Paid partner leave of up to four weeks is also available for eligible employees, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.

Tuatahi encourages all employees to participate in activities within the community. All Tuatahi​​​​​​​employees are entitled to one paid volunteer day each year.

To help you enjoy a well-earned break over the Christmas and New Year period, Tuatahi provides two paid Tuatahi Days during the annual closedown. These days are designed to reduce the amount of your own annual leave needed during the shutdown, giving everyone more opportunity to rest and recharge over the holidays.

Every two years Tuatahi has a MoleMap clinic onsite for all employees to attend. The screening includes a head-to-toe check by a melanographer who will identify and image any moles or lesions showing features of skin cancer for an expert diagnosis by a dermatologist.

Financial awards are given to celebrate long service at Tuatahi, starting from 5 years.

All employees can work from home for up to two days each week, so we want to help with the cost of household utilities such as power and fibre. All Tuatahi permanent and fixed term employees are eligible for a utilities rebate of $25 per fortnight
