About The Role:

Based at our head office in Hamilton, this is a 12-month fixed term role to cover an internal secondment. The purpose of this role is to ensure the Tuatahi Fibre’s information and communication systems and equipment consistently and effectively meet user and business needs.

The role involves day-to-day hands-on IT helpdesk support for our business and our 200+ staff in Hamilton and other office locations, and our remote staff who work from home.

Some of the tasks you will be doing are:

• Providing an IT helpdesk service for staff, both onsite and remote.

• Managing system access, security and setting up new staff.

• Resolving Incident and request tickets within a timely manner, including capturing detailed notes and communicating with staff.

• Installing and maintaining workstations, mobile phones and other devices, and supporting software & operating systems.

• Supporting staff with IT-related requests, incidents, and complex problems in our IT systems and equipment.

What will you need to bring with you?

You’ll need to have a strong technical background, great customer skills, excellent troubleshooting & problem-solving skills, and strong experience in an IT helpdesk support environment; we need you to hit the ground running.

You will need to be able to set up IT equipment, crawl under desks, plug in cables, and carry out other similarly demanding physical technical work.

A positive attitude, the ability to learn new things, and to work well with a team.

Along with this you will:

• Have a great attitude, and the ability to learn quickly.

• Be a self-starter, be flexible and adaptable to new ways of working.

• Have a relevant business, ICT industry or vendor qualification.

• A great work ethic, and be highly motivated to deliver a great IT support service.

• Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a technical operations or IT helpdesk role.

• Have Microsoft Office & Windows support knowledge and experience.

• Show demonstrated core IT skills and knowledge.

Advantageous if you also have:

• Experience with support of SaaS platforms.

• Familiar with AWS & Azure support and administration.

• Linux system administration and networking skills.

• An understanding of LAN/WAN networking.

• Familiar with ITIL framework & concepts.
