About The Role:

Are you a highly skilled Systems Engineer passionate about building secure, high-performing digital infrastructure? We’re looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to play a pivotal role in designing, maintaining, and optimising Tuatahi’s network and cloud environments. Reporting to the Digital Engineering Manager, this role is perfect for someone who thrives on problem-solving, security, and continuous improvement.

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will design, deploy, and maintain secure and scalable network solutions while providing strategic input into Tuatahi’s digital infrastructure. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Designing and deploying functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN, Internet connectivity).

• Managing firewalls, Windows/Linux servers, cloud services, and digital infrastructure.

• Ensuring system security, resilience, and availability through disaster recovery.

• Monitoring network performance and integrity, identifying opportunities for improvement.

• Supporting cloud-hosted solutions (AWS, Google, Azure) and ensuring seamless integration.

• Troubleshooting and resolving escalated technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption.

Skills and Experience Required:

• 5+ years of experience in network and ICT support in a large organisation.

• Proven expertise in network administration, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and firewall management.

• Hands-on experience with network monitoring, diagnostic tools, and security protocols.

• Strong Microsoft server, desktop, and cloud services knowledge.

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CEH (or equivalent).

• Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and implement innovative solutions.
