Valuation Analyst
About The Role:
Are you a highly analytical finance professional with a passion for valuation and modelling? At Tuatahi, we are looking for a Valuation Analyst who will play a critical role in shaping our financial strategy, supporting M&A and growth decisions, and maintaining strong relationships with shareholders and internal stakeholders alike.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning and Treasury, you will be the expert behind our corporate valuation model and a key contributor to strategic initiatives across the business.
What you will do (and Why It Matters):
Own Our Corporate Valuation Model – Maintain and enhance Tuatahi’s long-term corporate valuation model, ensuring it delivers clear, accurate insights to management, the Executive team, the Board, and shareholders.
Support M&A Opportunities – Provide valuation and due diligence support for potential acquisitions, including impact analysis and business case development.
Deliver Strategic Insights – Use financial modelling and analysis to inform business planning, regulatory reporting, and shareholder engagement.
Enhance Financial Processes – Build dashboards, improve processes, and create tools that elevate our forecasting and valuation capability.
Contribute to Treasury & Forecasting Activities – Support broader financial planning and treasury tasks in partnership with senior leaders.
Skills and Experience Required:
Strong technical skills in financial modelling and corporate valuation, with a best-practice approach. 1–3 years’ experience in deal valuation, ideally in corporate finance, advisory, or commercial finance.
A tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Engineering, or similar.
A CFA or CA (or progress toward one) is a bonus but not essential.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills—you will regularly engage with executives, the Board, and shareholders.
Ability to work autonomously, prioritise effectively, and produce high-quality insights under pressure. Experience in the telco or a regulated industry is desirable but not required.
At Tuatahi, we invest in your growth. Even if you don’t meet all the requirements, apply anyway—there’s plenty of opportunity to develop your career with us!
While being based in Hamilton is preferable, we are open to applicants living elsewhere in our network regions.
